TERMS & CONDITIONS, FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS AND ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE FAIR ( UPDATED March 2022)

TICKETS & ENTRY

This ticket is sold by Lost Trades Fair (LTF). The following conditions refer to the sale of each ticket and entry and attendance at the Event. ‘You’ and ‘your’ refers to the customer. ‘We’, ‘us’, ‘our’, ‘LTF’ and ‘Event organiser’ refers to Lost Trades Fair, Lost Trades Management team, employees, contractors, volunteers and authorised persons. This agreement means these terms and conditions and any other conditions specified by us on our website and on booking forms.

TICKETING  - Online and at the Gate 

  1. Tickets are sold subject to LTF and TryBooking.com conditions of sale and to the Terms and Conditions of Entry at the Bendigo Racecourse (Event Venue).

  2. All ticket sales are final. Please check the ticket quantity you purchase prior to selecting payment. Once purchased, tickets are the sole responsibility of the purchaser, overbooking errors, just like other venue tickets will not be refunded due to booking errors. You may transfer your ticket to another person.  It is a condition of sale that tickets may not be offered for commercial re-sale and they are only valid if purchased from Trybooking.com 

  3. Please note, if you cannot attend on the day your ticket of purchased for, you can swap it over at the gate on the day you choose to attend. 

  4. In the event that we are forced to cancel the Lost Trades Fair you will be assured a 80% refund of the ticket purchase price. 20% of your ticket purchase price will be retained to assure contractors are paid cancellation costs and a small portion of upfront administration costs are covered.

  5. No other refunds or exchanges will be available unless the Event is cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances.

  6. You must supply the correct full name and contact details at the time of purchase.

  7. Companion Card and formally recognised Carers Card holders will be provided with a complimentary entry as long as the person within your care is with you and is in your care and has a ticket.  

  8. Junior Tickets: Junior Tickets are available for young persons aged between 6 and 16 years of age. Proof of age for Junior tickets may be required, such school ID for teenagers. Children 6 years and under who are accompanied by a ticketed, responsible adult enter the Event at no charge and must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times. 

  9. No dogs are permitted onsite, with the ONLY exception being recognised disability service dogs that are clearly visible with correct vests / leads. This does not include companion dogs or animals.    

  10. If LTF determines that the price of tickets set out on TryBooking.com is in error, persons who have purchased tickets will be contacted. If the error has resulted in the purchaser being overcharged, the amount overcharged will be refunded. If the error has resulted in the purchaser being undercharged, LTF reserves the right to charge the purchaser the balance of the correct ticket price. If ticket holders disagree, tickets can be cancelled and a full refund provided.

  11. If a COVID-Safe plan is required to be in place for the event to run  in accordance with Government requirements;  all attendees must comply with the relevant regulations at the time of the event. 

  12. In the case where the Lost Trades Fair has sold out of tickets, due to capacity limits at the event site, any additional tickets will be available at the gate.

  13. Tickets are available online via the Trybooking website; a transaction fee of 50 cents per ticket is charged by Trybooking, this charge is not a fee that goes back to LTF in any part.

 

LOST TICKETS: 

  1. If you lose your ticket, please go to https://www.trybooking.com/lost-tickets to have your tickets re-sent. If you do not bring your valid barcoded ticket to the gate, please be patient whilst our staff search up your ticket. We do not charge for this service but will ask that you wait until staff have a break in servicing other patrons who have their tickets avaiable.

  2. Event Organisers reserve the right to refuse entry to any person who; cannot produce a valid e-ticket; presents an e-ticket that has been purchased or obtained through an unauthorised source or by illegal means, or presents an e-ticket that has been duplicated.

 

ARTISANS AND DEMONSTRATIONS

LTF reserves the right to add, withdraw or substitute artisans, vary any advertised program or artisan appearances and vary audience capacity.

No claim for compensation shall be made in the event that the program is varied due to the non-appearance of an advertised artisan or maker.

Admission to the Lost Trades Fair is subject to capacity.  No claim for compensation or refund shall be made if the Event does not meet the ticket holder’s expectations in general.

 

AUDIO & VISUAL

All ticket holders consent to any official filming, photographic and sound recording as visitors to the Lost Trades Fair. No equipment, recording device, phone or camera will be allowed where the user is intending to use the photos, audio or video for unauthorised commercial use. Any person not in possession of an official LTF Media Pass endorsed for film and/or photography as appropriate, found using a video camera or any device to record performances for commercial purposes will be asked to leave the venue.

 

LIABILITY

LTF disclaims any and all liability for the acts, omissions and conduct of any third party including the individual artisans, products, services and the venue / site.

Entry is at the ticket holder’s own risk. The LTF shall not be held liable for any loss, injury or damages sustained entering or on the site – to the extent allowed by the law.

The right to refuse entry is reserved by LTF and venue providers - Silks Functions & Events and The Bendigo Jockey Club (Racecourse). 

You will be liable for any loss or damage caused at the Event by you or your group.

 

SMOKING, ALCOHOL, ILLEGAL DRUGS AND GLASS

Within the venue, standard smoking laws are in line with the Tobacco Act which disallow smoking within a 10 metre radius of food preparation and service areas. There are NO LICENSED AREAS within the event site; alcohol may not be consumed at the event. It is prohibited to bring your own alcohol to the event. We reserve the right to evict patrons who disobey or break this rule. Ticket holders agree to comply with all LTF security arrangements, as well as those of the venue provider.  LTF or the venue provider may refuse admission to any ticket holder for any reasonable cause and may request any ticket holder to leave for any reasonable cause.

PRIVACY

The information requested is used in the processing of your tickets; in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988, the information is not supplied to any third party. Your email address may be used for Lost Trades Fair satisfaction surveys sent out by Visit Victoria and Lost Trades and by Lost Trades to notify you of Lost Trades Fair information. 

GENERAL SAFETY

In the case of an emergency evacuation or situation, you must follow all LTF and other directives of official personnel.

No animals will be permitted onto the Event site, with the exception of assistance dogs.

ENVIRONMENT AND COMMUNITY: 

LTF cares for the environment and community. Please recycle wherever possible and place all waste in the appropriate bins provided. Please respect the City of Greater Bendigo, do not litter while traveling to and from the Event.

GENERAL: 

Any breach of any of these terms and conditions will entitle the Event organisers to evict the ticket holder from the venue, without refund.

 

ABOUT LOST TRADES FAIR BENDIGO 2022

 

We are planning a to hold a full capacity ‘regular’ Lost Trades Fair in March 2023.  


Will you refund my ticket if the event has to be cancelled? In the event that we are forced to cancel, we will give you a 80% refund of the ticket purchase price, minus the booking fee; 20% of your ticket purchase price will be retained to assure contractors are paid cancellation costs and a small portion of upfront administration costs are covered.


Two day tickets, concessions and group bookings. Due to contact tracing and limited capacity when the 2022 event was announced  - only single day tickets were available.

 

In 2023 we are planning to reinstate group bookings, aged/pension concession tickets, family tickets and a '2 day weekend pass'.

FAQ's - Frequently asked Questions and Answers

When is the Lost Trades Fair held?  Dates and times for 2023 - TBC

Accommodation: There is a great range of accomodation options across the Bendigo region. Please contact the Bendigo Visitor Information Centre for accomodation suggestions.  

Pass-Outs. Pass-outs are available, you will be required to check in again through the gate and present your barcoded ticket and wristband (allocated to you for your pass - out).   

Parking: Parking is available onsite for a donation to the not for profit service managing the parking.  Parking is not managed by Lost Trades or the venue. 

Buses: There is a Fair Shuttle Bus which operates every 30 minutes to and from Bendigo Train and Bus Station. This shuttle bus is paid for by Lost Trades and does not stop along the way. 

Accessible Parking: Dedicated accessible parking is located near the entrance gate. Those with an appropriate permit will be given access to these parks by  Volunteer staff who will be in attendance and managing the parking.

 

Can I bring my own food? You are welcome to bring your own food and water to the fair, we ask that you do not bring cans or glass bottled drinks onsite. There is a strict NO alcohol policy, anyone found with alcohol or consuming alcohol will be asked to leave.

 

Refilling your Water Bottle: You can fill your water bottle at dedicated water fountain provided by Coliban Water located near the grandstand. We encourage you to bring your own refillable water bottle, as we are working towards eliminating single use plastic.
